“CENTURIES COMBINED”
October 3 & 4, 2008 – 8:00 PM

Grieg looks at the Baroque period through the eyes of Romantic composer, while another Great Romantic – Tchaikovsky uses an old theme as an inspiration for a set of variations. The Forth century story about Thais brings out the best melodies out of Massenet and Haydn’s classical example serves s the reference point for humorous symphony by modern days Prokofiev.

As the Musical Director and Conductor of this organization, I believe in presenting concerts that bring our listeners the jewels of the orchestral literature as well as works representing a gamut of different musical styles and cultures.
