When we embarked on our 30th Anniversary Season of concerts, we could not have predicted the current health crisis and its effect on our daily lives as well as the global arts community.
At the onset of the pandemic, we made the difficult decision to cancel our Spring Concert, postpone our Caprio Young Artist Competition, and then later, cancel our summer Concert Under the Stars as well.
From that point on, the Riverside Symphonia endeavored to produce a plan for a digital music presence for our 31st Season without sacrificing the integrity of the music, and our reputation for excellence.
To that end, our current plan includes a combination of musical performance digitally delivered to our audience, an educational program that will be incorporated directly into the distance online learning curriculum of local schools, and a further expansion of our nursing home outreach program.
We are hopeful that this medium will allow us to reach new audience members like never before as well as directly reach more students and seniors than previously possible.
Make no mistake, we will be back to live performances when Government orders and health guidance allow them to take place.
In the meantime, stay tuned for announcements related to our programming, and please remember that the magic of a live orchestra can only exist with your help, and we need your donations more than ever, so please visit riversidesymphonia.org to donate and ensure that our next 30 years are as wonderful as the first.
Be well and stay safe.
